Config. As an innovation radar, we work with research centers, universities, companies, investors and entrepreneurs, generating new startups and spinouts, building alliances and helping to develop new business models.
We build and cultivate the entrepreneurial ecosystem through multiple initiatives that include workshops, business development, evaluations and value engineering studies.

Ecosystems are dynamic structures of different autonomous but interdependent actors that coordinate their activities around a common goal to jointly create value.
The central assumption is that all parties (providers/manufacturers, orchestrator, contributors and users) actively participate in the creation of value.
The PROVIDER / MANUFACTURER is the supplier of the offerings needed to realize the service outcome.
The ORCHESTRATOR acts as the coordinator aligning users and providers around that service outcome. Orchestrators are firms that create a network of peers in which the participants interact and share in the value creation.
CONTRIBUTORS complement the service outcome through their support offerings to either the user, the provider and/or the orchestrator.
The customer, for instance, is by now deeply integrated in the value creation process.
Co-creating for disruption requires a “jazz mind-set”.
Like skilled jazz players, the ecosystem actors need to master the art of unlearning, perform and experiment simultaneously, and take turns soloing and supporting each other.
We understand ecosystems as dynamic structures that form around a central core value proposition or a common purpose. The central assumption is that all parties, manufacturers, orchestrators, contributors and users, actively participate in the creation of value or contribute with resources and capabilities.
Ecosystems are by definition CROSS-INDUSTRY constructs, which consist of complementary services from different domains.
The right choice of complementary partners is a key strategic decision for value creation in ecosystems.
For each project we support, we seek partners with locally-relevant actors with complementary expertise and a common vision.
In addition, the results of this research are oftentimes very vague and the chance of success uncertain.
Perform Lab can find potential innovation partners and new relevant technologies to solve business issues. We search for technologies, companies and applied solutions matching defined search criteria. This includes an in-depth overview, which can contain: companies, technologies and research matching the search criteria.
We coordinate introductions, conduct suitability surveys and find suitable attendees to participate in innovation events or programs.
Ecosystem success depends on partners who themselves have to innovate.
This management of dependencies is another central aspect of an ecosystem strategy.
The CO-INNOVATIN RISKS, or the failure to understand that your innovation depends on the innovations of others.
The ADOPTION CHAIN RISK, or the failure to understand that other partners need to also adopt your innovation before it can reach the end consumer.
One's own success depends on the success of the ecosystem or the actors in the ecosystem.
The aim of coopetition is to create an environment in which the end result benefits the whole and makes everyone more profitable.
Ecosystems often consist of allies and competitors.
True ecosystem players not only respect the business of their partners or even competitors, but they also promote it. Coopetition and collaboration are more and more decisive.
At PerformLab we help our clients by orchestrating disruptive innovation in the ecosystem. We combine in our consultancy all the approaches discussed above: partnerships, flexibility and management of dependencies
